Driving Directions
La Rocher is located off the small street of Minto Place (no.7) along Smiths Creek Road. The property can be approached from either Kyogle Road or Tweed Valley Way via Stokers Siding. It is 16km from Murwillumbah. We recommend Waze or Google Maps.
Directions to La Rocher
From Gold Coast
Travelling south from the Gold Coast, take the R40 Murwillumbah turn off shortly after the BP Petrol stop and then shortly afterwards, the Tropical Fruit World sign. Head towards Murwillumbah and then either take the Tweed Valley Way road at the roundabout (Coles/Shell petrol station) before crossing over the river into the town OR drive over the bridge through Murwillumbah, taking Kyogle Road towards Mount Warning/Uki.
From Byron Bay / South
Traveling north from the Bryon Bay direction, along the N1, take the exit to Tweed Valley Way and follow signs towards Murwillumbah. Turn left into Stokers Siding approximately 8km before Murwillumbah and follow the directions as above.
La Rocher is the second driveway on the left.
Tweed Valley Way Route
If taking the Tweed Valley Way road at Murwillumbah, you will travel approximately 10 km before turning right to Stokers Siding. At Stokers Siding turn left into Smiths Creek road and follow the road up over the ridge and down into the next valley where you will turn right into Minto Place (approx 6.4km).
Kyogle Road Route
If you take the drive through Murwillumbah, you have the opportunity to stock up on food from the numerous grocery stores and health shops. Continue through the town and turn left into Kyogle road towards the village of Uki and Mount Warning.
You will follow the Tweed River and pass the turnoff to Mount Warning on your right. Further on, just prior to Uki, you will cross a rainbow-coloured bridge. Turn immediately left into Smiths Creek road. Minto Place is on the left 1km past the Uki Saw Mill.
